Virtual makeover...

This is cool. A virtual makeover. I get the chance to try few hairstyles and I even can change the hair colour. Cool eh! Actually I get to know about this thingy through Brenda's blog. In one of her entries, she actually posted several pictures of her with different hairstyles and colours; all edited using this online editing tool. It's easy as ABC. All you have to do is actually upload a picture of yourself, click here and there, and voila! There's no need to trouble yourself doing all the editing by using Photoshop. Go here and experience the fun.

I never coloured my hair blonde before. So, I guess this is how it looks like. Hmm...

Same style but different colour.

This hairstyle is inspired by Joe Jonas. :)

How about this one?

Zac Efron's hairstyle peeps!

Happy Bday 2 U

This lass who hails from Tamparuli, Sabah whom is also a friend of mine was born on the 21 October 1990. The other day, we celebrated her simple 19th birthday celebration cum dinner at Pusanika, here in UKM. Wait a sec. It was only her 19th birthday? Gosh, I feel so old right now. Anyhow, it was a last-minute planning. Everything was planned few hours prior to the dinner. The initial plan was to bring her out for a dinner treat somewhere in Kajang but unfortunately on that day, everybody was busy with various U activities. Therefore, we opted for plan B; celebrate her birthday within UKM itself. We bought her a birthday cake at this particular bakery shop in Pusanika and it was just an ordinary cake since we didn't have the time to go out and find better cake. This time around no smear-the-face-with-the-cake was involved. *wink* Oh..I haven't mentioned the name of the birthday girl whom I treat like a little sister and coincidentally, we shared the same surname - George. Her name is Barbara George...Happy Birthday girl.

The birthday cake...

Such a great singer...

I came to know about this singer through a video shared by my cousins in Facebook. He's a very talented singer and has a great mesmerising voice. He's got the charisma.

Sam Tsui is a singer, actor, songwriter (and college student) who simply loves to make music. Whether he is jamming out at the piano, performing a musical, recording a cover on YouTube, or belting in the shower. Being able to share something he’s had so much fun doing makes him incredibly happy! Sam has recently started recording a bunch of covers and videos with his friend Kurt, which you can now listen to (and hopefully enjoy!) on Myspace. (http://www.myspace.com/SamTsui)

You should also check out Kurt (www.myspace.com/KurtHugo) - who is an incredibly talented songwriter, musician, producer and the mastermind behind all of Sam’s recordings and videos.

Taken from: http://www.last.fm/music/Sam+Tsui

This is the video that was shared by cousin through Facebook and I was amazed at how creative this person at doing his very own rendition of the late MJ songs. Kudos!

He even recorded the cover of Jason Mraz's "You and I Both" - one of my favourite songs. I love his rendition.

Early Christmas Carol...

Who would have thought about having a Christmas carol in October? Yes. October. It's not even Advent yet. Last Friday, my friends and I performed a Christmas carol for the D'Chriswali Nite celebration which was held at Zaba residential college here in UKM. It was a last-minute thing and the practice was held on an ad hoc basis. So, this small choir group of CSSUKM decided to sing three Christmas songs: Silent Night, Joy to the World and Feliz Navidad. Anyhow, we enjoyed the night even though we had not enough practice. I did not stay until the end of the function because I was going to have an important presentation on the next morning.

Practising...

...and practising...

...after the performance the self-proclaimed "mami santut" decided to have the let's-do-the-multishots-session...

Nice attempt anyway...

It's 1.25 a.m. and I'm still awake. I'm currently sitting down in front of my desk doing some editing to my assignments. Basically, I can say all most of my assignments are ready to be handed-in and presented in front of the class but somehow I feel the sense of dissatisfaction to certain parts of the assignments. I think I cited too much and put less than enough of my own ideas/interpretations into it. *sigh* I will come back to my assignments later and I'm just taking a short break by updating my blog. I'm not going to complain about my assignments in this post because there's nothing special about it. Everything is on the right track. I guess.

OK. Let's get back to the topic of this post. Today's topic is all about a desperate attempt by this particular person to actually bring someone down and make himself look great. Wait a minute..this person should be given a name. What name? Hmm...let's just name him psycho guy. I think this name suits him well. :) Ok. Let's continue.

It's rather hilarious to see this psycho guy putting a lot of efforts to gain so-called popularity and at the same time makes himself look like a moron in the eyes of the others. Pity him. Today, this psycho guy was caught in action. He was putting an attempt to pull somebody down by using his so-called super-weapon - reverse psychology. *laugh* Readers, I really hope you guys can see this person's act of "attacking" this another person. Apparently, the "attack" was rather wasted because this another person was brilliant enough to not give him a damn. This person knew very well about the pity psycho guy's tactic and he simply ignored him. However, this pyscho guy did not give up and he tried to attack this person again by bringing his group members along. Nice try! At the end of the day, nothing happened. Nice attempt anyway.

Try to imagine if the table being turned. How if this psycho guy put himself in this another person's shoes. How would he feel being "attacked' in such way? Seriously, people should start to think rationally. Don't simply try to put somebody down and make him/her feel bad about him/herself. This psycho guy should know respect is something that needs to be gained by respecting others at the first place. Most importantly, I think he should live by, "do unto others, what you want to be done unto you". I personally believe in that quote. Last but not least, I hope that this psycho guy will realize his action and do something about it to be a better person. God bless you.

The other side of the coin...

A colleague of mine came to me said I had lost my sense of humour. All I can give was a smile. She asked me where did the other "Steve" whom she has known for the past few years had gone to. Again, I shrugged and gave her a smile.

She replied, "Hey, it seemed like I can't joke with you anymore lately".

So, have I totally lost my sense of humour? I don't think so. As what people always say, there is always two sides of the coin. Steve has become quieter, sombre and no longer fun. I guess I'm no longer the other "Steve" whom they know - at least for a while.

I guess I need a break. Perhaps, a nice vacation to unwind myself...

I want to go home...(Homesick)

The final exam is not even commenced yet I already started thinking about flying back to KK - my hometown. So, today I would like to share with you little bit about my place - the places that mostly patronized by me.

<< This is a place called Centre Point also known as CP by the locals. I usually go here for bowling, movies and shopping. I can see lots of improvements being made by the management just to maintain the popularity of this mall due to the emerging popularity of its new rival - 1Borneo.

>> This place is called Warisan Square and it is situated just opposite CP. The concept of this mall is bazaar. So, the moment you enter this mall, you actually can see the ambiance of a bazaar. If you're loaded then this is the place for you to shop. I normally go here for windows shopping, to treat myself with a cup of Mocha Latte at Starbucks, or just to park my car because the parking lots in CP are usually fully occupied.

<< This is the rival that I'm talking about just now - 1Borneo. It is said that this is the largest hypermall in borneo. To date, I have yet to finish discovering all the outlets in this mall hypermall. Again, if you're loaded this is a perfect getaway for you. Ample of outlets selling branded items available here. Most of the time, I only go here for movies.

>> Tanjung Aru beach is a common place for both locals and tourists. This is also a common place for lovebirds to spend their time together - alaa...dating la...cough...cough...

It takes only 15 minutes drive from my house to this place called Pekan Donggongon. Well, my parents will go here every week to buy groceries - cheap bah! This is also a place where you can get lots of tasty food.

>> Last but not least, this is not situated in KK. To reach this place this place, it takes approximately 1 hour 30 minutes drive from KK - depending on how fast you drive your car! The road to this place is long and winding and for the first-timers, it is recommended for you to sleep during the journey because you might get nausea. Oh, by the way, this place is called Tambunan - my kampung.
