Caught in action ...

I was photographed taking a photo on top of the Grotto in Majodi Center. The climb to the top was not easy because the path was covered with moss. (Picture credit to Connie)

Again...on top of the Grotto trying my best to get the best shots of the crazy-and-fun bunch of people down there :) (Picture credit to Pat)

Haha! Caught in action. I fell asleep during one of the sessions in ICG. Lepak-ing and chatting with friends till 3 am under a particular tree outside the dorm in Majodi Center - tada!! (Picture credit to Gnet)

Yes. Finally I got time for this...

Dear readers,
Sorry for not updating my blog for quite some time. No worries. I've been busy with so many superfun activities lately...now I'm back.

This time around, I decided no to go back to my hometown for the Hari Raya break even though I wanted to fly back to Sabah so badly. I was invited to join the Inter-campus gathering at Plentong, Johore Bahru by few of my friends and I declined the invitation once simply because of my thought that the gathering would be something boring. I was wrong. I guess I'm now sure God had planned something for me during that time and I thank Him for that. Thank God. Without much more hesitations I settled the fee, submitted the registration form and attended several meetings for ICG 2009. On 19th September, I left UKM for the camp together with all the rest of my friends. It was quite a long and tiring journey from Serdang to Plentong.  Nevertheless, with God's blessings, we arrived at Majodi Centre safe and sound.

I'm not going to describe in detail about the camp because I'll post some pictures for your viewing. :) One thing for sure, I had a blast during the gathering - the gathering that I was initially didn't want to join. The group activities (I was in team Dark Green), praise and worship sessions, talks, video making workshop, Project Runway as well as Fellowship Night were among the activities being planned by the organiser. I met many new friends along the way - most of them were freshmen from various universities! The mischievous ones called me "uncle" since I was the only 3rd year student among the freshmen in my group. Yes. I'm old :) Nice to meet and know you all!

A memorable wedding

I was browsing through the online news and came across this interesting-and-somehow-funny article. It is actually about an unusual wedding in which the bride and the groom opted for a dinghy instead of a normal car to go their reception. Bulih bah kalau kau!

Memorable wedding
*article taken from Daily Express Online*
KIULU: Never mind the limousine. A couple here boarded a dinghy and braved the whitewater rapids of Sungai Tuaran to get to their wedding ceremony in Kampung Malanggang Baru, on Sunday. Floyd Rantey Maurice, 35, and Hamemarline Sumpongul, 22, shot the rapids together with their relatives and gong players before their nuptials.
Floyd from Kampung Malanggang Baru and his bride who comes from nearby Kampung Poturidong boarded their dinghy at Kiulu township and arrived about 40 minutes later, all wet but safe, by the river banks of Malanggang Baru.
"Actually, we wanted to recapture the way it was done in the old days when the groom picked up the bride using a raft en route to getting married," said Floyd.
But after taking into account the risks, they decided to board the dinghy together to go the groom's home for the wedding, the sounds of the gong attracting many villagers to see the four rubber dinghies on the river.
At the hall in Malanggang Baru, the couple who are Adventists, received the blessing of the union with their relatives witnessing the ceremony.
p/s: an interesting wedding indeed...

Majlis Berbuka Puasa @ PWTC

"Majlis Berbuka Puasa Y.A.B Ketua Menteri Sabah Bersama Mahasiswa/Mahasiswi Sabah di Semenanjung Malaysia". Came to think about it, I was initially don't know anything about this function but thanks to the people whom informed me about this - you know who you are :)
The function was held yesterday's evening and we departed from UKM at about 4.30 pm. The journey to PWTC took us about 1 hour 30 minutes (if I'm not mistaken) because the highway was already started to get congested by the traffic. Upon arriving at PWTC, the place was already packed with Sabahan students from various universities. Apart from the sole purpose of attending the function - breaking the fast with the Chief Minister of Sabah - students took the opportunity to meet up with their friends from other universities. So, it was sort of like an impromptu reunion. However, I didn't get the chance to see any of my other friends as I was too lazy to wander around that huge ballroom to find familiar faces and some of them didn't attend the function due to the midterm exam *sigh*. Nevertheless, I enjoyed the function and most importantly the CM generously handed in Raya packets (duit raya lah) to all of us. Thanks CM. Thanks Yayasan Sabah.

To whom it may concern...

*The author apologizes for the profanities used in this post*

You are the person who truly embodies hypocrisy. So, let me tell you this, don't you ever simply label other people as true-hypocrite because that is just what you are. You are indeed a real hypocrite. You act in a so-called humble and good manner in front of me yet you still badmouth me at the back. Do I consider you as a friend? Hell no! I even have to think gazillions of time just to call you as an acquaintance of mine. A**hole! As a reminder for you, I refuse to be included in your circle of sinner-friends. This is not a lame excuse, mind you. I admit that I myself is a sinner but I believe in God and I know He is always there to guide me to be a better person each and every day. If possible I would like you to be vanished from me forever! I don't need you to be present in front of me everyday because you are such an effing horrible person I've ever met. Go to hell with your effing way of life and I don't want to give it a damn! My hatred towards you is building up bit by bit and I almost burst with anger. I just hope that you won't get a knock-down punch (or punches) from me directly to your face. You might be badmouthing me at this very moment but why on earth should I waste my precious time bothering on something that is extremely useless? Besides, all that effing words that came out from you mouth are blatant lies to the core.

To whom it may concern...
