Rumour had it that we were going to get our allowance before the weekend; on Friday (22 Jan) to be exact. Though it was an unsubstantiated rumour, I couldn't help myself from holding much hope that the vast amount of money will be in my account by the weekend.

Why unsubstantiated rumour? There was this incident (not so long time ago) in which everyone was eagerly anticipated for the scholarship to be banked-in. So, as usual, one person started to circulate the rumour that the money will be in our respective accounts on this particular specific date (confidently said). Within minutes/hours, the news had spread throughout the cohorts. With my shopping list in my pocket, I walked with glee with my friends to the ATM to make withdrawal. As you might already guessed it, we were astounded by our own confidence! The money was not yet in. We then went back to college with innumerable disappointment.

I would lie if I say I don't bother about it but at least I would not feel too much disappointed if the above incident repeated by itself. Therefore, this time around, I so-called do not put much hope for it. I chose to just wait and see.

As I said earlier, I received a rumour saying that the money will be in soon. I waited without putting much hope. Yesterday, after class, I went to the ATM machine at Pusanika to check my account balance. Inserted my bank card, keyed-in the pin numbers, selected the "inquiry" option and tadaa!  The rumour was not really a rumour at all. *Grinned*

After I withdrew a sufficient amount of money, I went straight to Kajang to meet up few of my friends who were already left earlier than me after the class. My friends and I then spent the whole evening by going to places like McD and Sushi King. We even went karaoke-ing! Later that evening, before we headed back to campus, we went shopping at the mall. I got myself a pair of jeans, t-shirt and a scarf? Hahaha.
