First of all I would like to wish everyone a blessed and happy new year 2011. I guess most of you received lots of text messages and even phone calls last night. I can't afford to reply all the text messages that came in last night. Thus, I decided to post a status update in my Facebook account and wished everyone beforehand. Not to forget, I also put up message(s) through my twitter account. Easy eh?
FYI, this is the second time I sort of celebrated the coming of the new year away from home. I felt kinda sad but I've got no other choice since the semester has already started. Nevertheless, I did have fun with fellow friends here in campus. We planned an impromptu dinner together at the nearest steamboat restaurant. The place is called 'Steamboat Antarabangsa' and it is situated in Bandar Baru Bangi. Only few minutes drive away from UKM.
Then, after dinner, with our protruding stomach, we went back to campus and planned another so-called gathering at UKM stadium while waiting for the clock to strike 12. Little did I know, they already prepared all the junk food, soft drinks and guess what...rice wine as well! Well prepared eh?
We had lots of fun conversations, teasing each other, cam-whoring and I even jogged for ONE lap at the stadium! Lol! What a way to end the year. At the moment, I don't have the pictures with me because I have yet to get my copies from the camera owners. Gonna upload some of the pictures soon. Just you wait.
So, to cut the story short, when the clock struck 12. We all did the usual thing: wishing everybody happy new year. That was also the time when everybody was busy with their phones: texting and calling. The first person that I called that night was none other than my dad. It's his birthday! Too bad I wasn't able to be at home and celebrate the double celebrations. I can still recall the times when I had the chance to celebrate it at home. We always had BBQ session and it was always accompanied by karaoke-ing. Gosh! That was fun!
**********
For this year, I decided not to have any specific new year's resolutions. I just want to go through this brand new year with lots of fun regardless of the winding paths awaiting for me ahead. That's life isn't? We can't really predict what's gonna happen in the future and that makes life interesting.
I have to admit that the year 2010 was indeed an interesting year with lots of ups and downs. I went through so many things throughout the year. Nevertheless, I'm grateful because it actually taught me to become a better person. I'm not saying I've become a truly better person now but all I'm saying is that I'm trying my best as I'm just a normal human being who tend to make mistakes. I know it sounds cliche but it's true...
To my family: Thank you for ALWAYS there for me. Words cannot express how much I appreciate and grateful to have all of you in my life. May God's blessings be with you all always. Amen.
To my friends: Thanks for coming to my life and coloured my life. Without all of you, my life would be dull and mundane.
To my hater(s) *if any*: I also would like to thank you because you actually taught me how to stay positive in life. All I can say is, I can't afford to please everyone in this world and if I've made mistakes, I humbly asked for forgiveness. God bless you.
>>>Cheers everyone! Happy New Year 2011<<<
