"Australia"

When I saw the trailer for the first time I was not that keen to watch the movie but after I watched the trailer again in the telly then I realised the beauty and attraction of the movie. The thing for sure, both Nicole and Hugh looked gorgeous in that movie. See it to believe it! For those of you out there who have not yet have the chance to watch the movie, you must grab the opportunity to watch it. It's a must-see movie!

" In northern Australia at the beginning of World War II, an English aristocrat inherits a cattle station the size of Maryland. When English cattle barons plot to take her land, she reluctantly joins forces with a rough-hewn stock-man to drive 2,000 head of cattle across hundreds of miles of the country's most unforgiving land, only to still face the bombing of Darwin, Australia, by the Japanese forces that had attacked Pearl Harbor only months earlier. "

The romantic scene in the movie...

One of the character in the movie...we laughed whenever we saw his scenes - the way he pose/stand...see it yourself! He's f.i.e.r.c.e.

Birthday interpretation...

What does my birthday mean? I got this from FaceBook and it says...

"You are so confident that sometimes you forget about the people around you. If you have to be in one of the two teams, you will choose to be in the winning team. On the other hand, you are kind and caring but above all, you care for your own benefits. Your imagination is unique and often gets implemented shortly after it comes across. Your Love, You will not get soft with the one you don't really like, no matter how hard he/she tries. But once you feel for someone you have chosen, there's no getting back."

Is this really true? I dunno. I just do this for fun...btw, the attributes that I put in bold are the ones that I think true for me. Haha!!

Bad service...

Last Saturday (6th Dec), my friends and I went to KKbox karaoke. Prior to that, I accompanied my friend to the handphone shop at Wisma Merdeka to get his newly bought handphone fixed. There were quite a number of customers at that time. My friend handed his phone to one of the staffs and being told that the phone will be ready within an hour. So, while waiting for the phone to be ready, we went to a restaurant to fill up our empty 'tank' because we were going to have other agendas later that day.

We ordered our food and waited for it. The waitress told us that our food will be ready within 17 minutes. She was so sure that it will only take 17 minutes for the food to be served on our table. One of my mischievous friends started to set the timer in his phone. We waited and waited and waited...it was already 30 minutes since we ordered and still our food were not yet ready. At last, 45 minutes later, the waitress brought the food to our table.

The waitress: These are your pizza, sir.
Me: Thanks (sarcastically) but I think I'm already full waiting for the food.
The waitress: Sorry sir. They're too many customers and we don't have enough staffs right now.
Me: (Looked around the restaurant)...

Don't have enough staff? She said that to me? Excuse me but I have my specs on and I saw not less than 5 staffs just standing still without anything to do. She said they didn't have enough staff? Quite angry, we had our meal and suddenly we realized something missing - our side orders were not yet served. We called the waitress and asked for our side orders. She briskly walked to the kitchen and came back few minutes later with our side orders. She then apologized. Apology accepted? I don't think so because she served us with the wrong dishes! She took back the dishes and replaced it with the ones we ordered. *Sigh*

I called the waitress for the bill. She showed us the bill and I looked at the service tax. It was RM7.

Me: The service tax is RM7?
The waitress: Yes sir.
Me: We don't want to pay for it since the service is very lousy.
The waitress: Hehe...cannot lah sir.
Me: But we have to wait for almost one hour for the food to be ready.
The waitress: Alaa....sorry sir.
My friend: I want to see your supervisor now.

The waitress gave us a very annoying look and walked away from our table to call her supervisor. Then the supervisor came.

Supervisor: Yes sir? Is there anything wrong?
Me: Yes, there is. Our food came late and we don't want pay for RM7 service tax. Your service is not good.

The supervisor then called the waitress who took our orders and had a private talk with her not that far from our table. The supervisor was not happy with the issue. The supervisor came back to our table...

Supervisor: We are so sorry sir. We promise this is not going to happen again. You don't have to pay for the tax. We can give you free pizza if that's OK with you.
My friend: Nope. Never mind. We're OK. No need to bribe us with free food. Just improve on your service.

We went out from the restaurant. I think they're so shock to have male customers who can be bitchy like the female counterparts and very meticulous as well as demanding. Haha...Customer's right bah! Later that night, after the karaoke session, we felt hungry and we're so regret to refuse the offered free pizza. *So damn silly* So, we ended up having our supper at a mamak restaurant before we proceed to our late night activity - clubbing!

tie the knot? soon?

Grandma came all the way from Tambunan to KK to attend my cousin's wedding and she stayed at our house for a couple of weeks. I didn't get the chance to attend the wedding because I was still having my final exam at that time. When I got back to KK, grandma told me about the wedding and based from her description of the wedding, it sounded like my cousin had a grand wedding reception. Too bad, I missed it. Never mind, I'll wait for the video and the photos of the ceremony.

So, grandma and I had a grandmother-grandson conversation in the living room. I knew that she will bring about the same topic. Marriage. Nevertheless, being a filial grandson, I sat down with her and went through the conversation.

Grandma: Bah, bila lagi kau mau kawin? Si anu suda kawin. Kau bila lagi? Jangan kama lambat2.

Me
: Ala...palan2 bah tu. Sia mau sambung blajar lagi mangkali ni. Lepas tu baru kawin.

Grandma: Tia payah la sambung blajar lagi. Lepas kau abis ni trus kau kerja. Trus kawin.

Me: Hehe...tingu la dulu ni.

Grandma: Kawin la waktu kau masih muda supaya bila kau sudah tua nanti, anak-anak kau pun suda besar.

Me
: Mmbah...

Grandma wanted to extend the conversation but I quickly changed to another topic. Sorry grandma. However, grandma had the points. She wanted me to have children a.s.a.p but she still have the traditional mindset - first degree is enough - but I wanted to have at least a Masters degree. I guess she still have the thought that with the first degree, one can be considered as a succesful person. It was. Now, everything's changed my dear grandma.

About the marriage. Sabar la grandma. The time will come and just wait for it. When I'm financially secured then I will tie the knot. Don't you worry. I promise that I will not take a very long time to get married but I shall think about it thorougly. Marriage is a holy matrimony. Marriage is a covenant between one man and one women that was designed and ordained by God and therefore cannot be taken for granted. Marriage means you have to spend you life with your wife/husband for the rest of your life. 'Until death do us apart' remember? So, marriage is also about making a wise choice and decision.

Speaking of marriage, I knew for a fact that a number of my acquaintances (who are at same age like me) got married and even already have children. Some even planning to get married soon. Very soon. For my friends who are getting married, I congrats all of you and I pray for your lifetime happiness. As for me, you all have to wait for my invitation cards. Haha! The thing for sure, it ain't gonna be too soon.

randomness...

Yesterday, I felt so damn bored at home. The only I thing I did was watching tv. That's it! At about 2pm my friend called me and invited me to join them to play futsal. Since I had no other things to do later that evening, I decided to join them. We went to Suria futsal centre. It's located next to the port and ferry terminal. The rate is RM75/hour.

We started our match at 7 pm and we finished 1 hour later. The match was damn tiring! I never felt that tired before. Blame my low stamina and fitness level. Running all over the futsal court really made me sweaty and I went out the court a couple of times to drink while the rest continued playing for the whole 1 hour. My team won and I contributed 3 goals. Yeah!!!

Dieny and I after the match...

OMG...I was sooo exhausted!

The bruise that I got from the match...it turned blue after a while.

Suria Futsal Court...will go there again....

As for today, I went to the new bowling center in 1borneo together with my friends. I assumed the new bowling center would be something like the ones in KL - nice lanes, nice interior, etc. I was wrong!! Since it is newly open (mind you, it was supposed to be open for public in May this year....) and it looks very empty, I can accept the fact that there are still many empty lots in the bowling center. BUT.....I simply can't accept the condition of the lanes. Horrible! Not up to my expectation. Sorry. The lanes in CPS Bowl (the one in Center Point) are much better than the ones in 1Borneo. The lanes look 'rough'. The machines got jammed and I guess it might not be new machines. We played 3 games and we had to switch lanes for 3 times! The reason? Jammed machine....The only bonus point for the new bowling center is that I can get student rate by just showing my matric card to the cashier and I will be only charged RM3.50/game. Quite cheap eh?

I'm back to the place where I belong...

Yeehaa! I'm now back to Sabah. FYI, my flight was delayed for about 3 hours due to the bad weather. Initially the flight would've landed at the KIA at 3pm but I was told by one of the officers at the departure hall that the flight could not land due to heavy rain and eventually affected the visibility of the runway. The flight then had to land at Sibu airport and took about another 3 hours before it flew back to KIA.

I reached KK at about 8 something in the evening and it was raining but not as heavy as in Kuching earlier. Daddy and I did not go back straight away. Instead, we went to the nearest bakery house at Putatan to buy a birthday cake for mummy. Then both of us headed home and mummy was waiting for us at the front yard. She was smiling. Birthday girl bah!

I stepped out from the car and gave mummy a big hug and kissed her cheek. Happy Birthday mummy!! It was her 44th birthday. Daddy helped me to bring my luggage into the house and I took my bath. Later that day, we went to my aunt's house to have 'makan-makan'. My grandmother also came all the way from Tambunan and it sort of like a family reunion. We stayed there for one night and went home the next morning.

On the second day of holidays, a close friend of mine sent me a text message and guess what, it was another birthday celebration. He invited me to his birthday party which was held in a club. Isn't that cool? So, later that evening, another friend of mine came and fetched me at home because I was too lazy to drive. We went to Tanjung Aru beach for dinner before we went to the club.

The party was awesome but I didn't get to hit the dance floor with the rest of my friends. Blamed my contact lenses. My eyes felt so dry and even worse I left everything at home; the casing, the solution and my glasses. *Sigh* So, I ended up became the 'tukang jaga meja' and watching them shaking their booty at the dance floor and at the same time drinking. We left the club at about 4 in the morning.

We took quite lots of pictures but I haven't copied it from my friend. I'll try to upload the pictures in my facebook later....

What a small world...

I didn't about this until one of my friends told me that a Canadian with Sabahan root has link to US new president Barack Obama. The fellow whom I talked about is Konrad Ng.

***************************************

Konrad's father Howard Ng was born in Sandakan and married his mother, Joan from Kudat. Howard and Joan then moved to Canada where Konrad Ng was born there. Though Konrad is a Canadian, his parents are Malaysian (or maybe ex-Malaysian).

Konrad then married Maya Soetoro, a half-sister to Obama. Maya was born to Lolo Soetoro, an Indonesian businessman, and Ann Dunham, a white American cultural anthropologist, who is also Obama’s mother.

That give Obama not only one but two links to Asia, i.e. Indonesia and Malaysia.

Obama has links to Malaysia
By SOO EWE JIN

PETALING JAYA: Dr Konrad Ng is amused that his Malaysian roots got noticed halfway round the world, thanks to his link to Democrat candidate Barack Obama.

An assistant professor at the University of Hawaii in Manoa (UHM), Ng, whose family originally comes from Sabah, is married to Obama’s half-sister Maya Soetoro.

Maya and Obama have the same mother.

In an e-mail interview with The Star, Ng, 34, said that his father, Howard, was born in Sandakan and his mother, Joan, in Kudat.

“I have many relatives who live throughout Malaysia, especially in Kuala Lumpur, Kota Kinabalu and the two towns where my parents came from,” he said.

His parents subsequently settled in Canada and Ng was born there.

Maya was born to Lolo Soetoro, an Indonesian businessman, and Ann Dunham, a white American cultural anthropologist, who is also Obama’s mother.

Ng said his parents return to Malaysia once every one to two years.

“It remains an important place of origin to them. In addition to a large, extended family, they have many good friends in Malaysia. I try to visit Malaysia every few years; it is a special country and feels familiar to me,” said Ng.

Maya, who was born in Jakarta, also cherishes her Indonesian roots.

According to Ng, she is active in the local Indonesian community and continues to speak Indonesian when she can. She visits Indonesia every few years.

Ng described Obama as exceptionally brilliant.

“He has a thorough understanding of the challenges we face and sound judgment on how we should address these challenges.

“Barack is a dedicated family man and cares deeply about transforming the world into a better place so that all families will have the same opportunities to do better.

“South-East Asia is a place of connection for him and a region that he understands well. It gave him numerous examples of alternative modes of communication and perspective.

“Maya, Barack and I have talked about the beauty of South-East Asia and our mutual desire to visit again,” he said.

TESL Cohort 4 pre-exam party!

Last night I went to Mitsu Shabu-Shabu (a steamboat restaurant) for the lets-go-have-dinner-together with my colleagues (TESL Cohort 4). Unfortunately, not all attended the pre-exam party due to personal reasons. So, here are array of pictures taken during the dinner.

I was amazed at how thin the slices of chicken.

Menn and I posing while waiting to be served.

A snap before leaving the college.

I tried to do the jump-shot but I landed early.

Rempit? Nope. This is Shafiq's bike.

Outside the restaurant. Everybody's full.

Vege anyone?

So what?

Despite the fact that the final examination is few days shy from now, I still went clubbing to so-called "unwind" myself from the stress and boredom of just being confined between the four walls.

Anyhow, I am not going to elaborate more on clubbing because I already did that in my previous entries. Remember?

Okay. As I mentioned earlier, last night, I went clubbing with my acquaintances and the let's-go-clubbing thingy was not actually planned by me. Still, I willingly joined them because I really needed to get myself out from all the academic stuff in my room that made me completely gone haywired.

This particular person or rather I address him as my "silent-hater" saw me went out with my other friends. I knew from the way he looked at me, he somehow felt uncomfortable seeing me went out with this group of people whom he always badmouthing about. Hey, I know these people and they are nice bunch of people. Mind you.

I don't understand why this fellow hate the people that I went out with last night. I see no good reasons for hating them. Seriously. I'd like to confront this person and have chats over drinks but it seems almost impossible. I mean, this person is totally against any criticism/discussion about this particular matter and he would overreact in just a split second. I guess I've to wait for the right time to settle this matter.

For sure, I just want to have fun and befriend everybody. No bad intentions. In fact, we're all social creature and who would want to be a loner right? Again, I don't understand why would this hater-guy react in such a way. He would simply accused me for something that sounds ridiculous for going out with them. Are you jealous or something? Or you feel threatened because no body actually wants to spend time with you. I feel sorry for you, dude. Get rid of all the negativity within yourself and try to accept other people.

Last and definitely not the least, to my haters out there, I hope someday you will get rid of the hatred and just be nice to other people. As simple as that.

Teaching....a noble profession?

This is something that all of us should ponder upon. Especially those who are soon to be a teacher.

*****************************************

Pupil is 'bruised from teacher's repeated slapping'

Sandakan: A Primary Five pupil claims he suffered hearing problems and bruises after his teacher repeatedly slapped him at Sekolah Kebangsaan Sungai Kayu, at Mile 7, Tuesday.

Mohd Irfan Ibrahim, 11, who was accompanied by his parents, lodged a report at the police station, Wednesday.

Mohd Irfan said the classroom was noisy when the teacher called him to the front of the class.

The teacher suddenly slapped both his cheeks repeatedly and only stopped when another teacher passed by and told him so, he further claimed.

The boy's mother, Masdiah Diong, 44, only found out the bruises on her son's face after being told by Mohd Irfan's younger brother who was in the same school.

A check with the doctor found that Mohd Irfan suffered some injury that affected the boy's hearing in the left ear.

Other parents whose children go to school there claimed the teacher, a disciplinary teacher, had previously took disciplinary matters drastically.

Several boys and girls were allegedly ordered to take off their clothes before being told to go under the sun.

Source: Daily Express, Sabah.

******************************

Shame on you "disciplinary teacher"... a teacher should provide a risk-free learning environment instead of instilling fear among the students.

Easy come and damn easy go!

I was told by someone in the class that there were changes in the exam schedule. Initially my last paper would be on the 18/11 but now it has been brought forward to the 19/11. S**t

I didn't feel anything at first because I thought I could change my departure time at anytime without much hassle. Guess what. I was wrong! I went through my ticket and I was stunned for a while when I saw - "Changes before departure" = X".

I tried to convince myself that anything was going to just fine. So, I decided to go to the airline main office in town together with my other 2 acquaintances. Again, it was not our day when we were told that the server was down and the officer couldn't do anything at that particular moment. She suggested that we call the airline hotline number.

Calling the airline hotline number was the last chance for us to determine whether we can change our ticket. A friend of mine called and the response was not as what we intended to get from him. Sigh. It's either we travel or .... you know.

I have no other choice than to purchase a new ticket and I really hope that there would be no changes in the exam schedule. I don't want to go through to the same situation again.

I guess by purchasing ticket way too early is not that good either. Hmm...

I gained weight...

After the 2 weeks holiday and one whole day of just eating all the tantalising food which was on the 2nd day of Hari Raya, I finally gained weight. *Grinned* Most people would the fear gaining their body weight but as for me, it is like an accomplishment for a "struggle". I am struggling myself to gain my weight since my BMI indicates that my current bodyweight is ALMOST underweight. Still, I don't feel good about it and I hate being called skinny boy. I just hate it. Luckily, so far, nobody ever dare to call me anorexic which I am not! Mind you.

So, speaking of gaining weight, only a handful of my acquaintances literally saw that I am really gaining weight. All of them agreed that my cheeks become a little bit chubby. Despite of feeling good in gaining weight, I still do not want to have protruding stomach which will make me look hideous. No offense. I just want to stay lean and healthy. I'm not the type of guy who wants to have muscles like those bodybuilders have. A six-pack would be an advantage tho.

As for now, I'm going to continue my mission to achieve the ideal weight for my height. Apart from gaining weight, I wonder if I still can grow taller at this age. Honestly, the other thing about my body that bothers me is my height. I'm short. I admit that. I'm only 165 cm tall and how I wish I can grow taller. *Sigh*

Food anyone??

Jalan2 bah...

Today, I woke up at 7.30 am and was asked by daddy to buy newspaper at Kedai Putatan. I was actually quite reluctant to wake up from the comfort of my bed. Besides, I went to bed late - 3 something in the morning. I was lying on my bed with my lappy, surfing the net.

Minutes later, I got up from my bed, bathed and drive to the sundry shop where I bought the newspaper for daddy. As soon as I got back, I headed to the kitchen and looked for something to eat. Luckily, there was fried noodle on the table. So, there I was, having breakfast and surfing the net - again. After that, I went to living room to watch tv but there was nothing nice to watch because it was still early in the morning. Felt bored, I headed to my bedroom and slept again until noon. Haha!

In the afternoon, after lunch, I took my car for a spin at town. I was amazed at how fast KK has developed. I only left KK for a few months and as soon as I got back, KK has obviously changed - not that much actually. One thing for sure, the new KKIA is now operating and there's flyover at KK-Putatan road. The last time I saw it, there were just pillar stuck on the ground. Amazing.

I fetched my friend at Kepayan and after that we headed to Warisan Square. It's been a while since the last time I went there. Actually, we had nothing to do there apart from window-shopping. Besides, with our current 'economic status', it is almost impossible for us to do the shopping. Pokai bah!

Then, we headed to 1Borneo hypermall, the so-called Borneo's shopping paradise. Still, there's nothing much that I can buy except for the Starbucks coffee. We spent about 1 hour there and went back home. Bored. The mall is still new and there are not many shops yet. I hope many outlets will be opened soon and make 1Borneo a true shopping paradise! *Grinning*

David Arculeta's latest single - Crush

I was at the airport when I listened to this song for the first time and I didn't know who the singer was until a friend of mine told me. The song was actually sung by David Archuleta (runner up of the recent American Idol). Now, I have the song in my iPod and currently listening to it. Quite nice actually.

Here's the lyric...

I hung up the phone tonight
Something happened for the first time deep inside
It was a rush, what a rush

'Cause the possibility
That you would ever feel the same way about me
It's just too much, just too much

Why do I keep running from the truth?
All I ever think about is you
You got me hypnotized, so mesmerized
And I've just got to know

Do you ever think when you're all alone
All that we can be, where this thing can go?
Am I crazy or falling in love?
Is it real or just another crush?

Do you catch a breath when I look at you?
Are you holding back like the way I do?
'Cause I'm trying and trying to walk away
But I know this crush ain't goin' away-ay-ay-ay-ayy
Goin' away-ay-ay-ay-ayy

Has it ever crossed your mind
When we're hanging, spending time girl, are we just friends?
Is there more, is there more?

See it's a chance we've gotta take
'Cause I believe that we can make this into something that will last
Last forever, forever

Do you ever think when you're all alone
All that we can be, where this thing can go?
Am I crazy or falling in love?
Is it real or just another crush?

Do you catch a breath when I look at you?
Are you holding back like the way I do?
'Cause I'm trying and trying to walk away
But I know this crush ain't goin' away-ay-ay-ay-ayy
Goin' away-ay-ay-ay-ayy

Why do I keep running from the truth?
All I ever think about is you
You got me hypnotized, so mesmerized
And I've just got to know

Do you ever think when you're all alone
All that we can be, where this thing can go?
Am I crazy or falling in love?
Is it real or just another crush?

Do you catch a breath when I look at you?
Are you holding back like the way I do?
'Cause I'm trying and trying to walk away
But I know this crush ain't goin' away-ay-ay-ay-ayy
This crush ain't goin' away-ay-ay-ay-ayy
Goin' away-ay-ay-ay-ayy
Goin' away-ay-ay-ay-ayy

It's good to be back!

Yeehaa!! I'm back to KK. Even it's only a short break, I'm gonna make full use of it. I did try to not bring along my assignments with me but it seems that I couldn't help it. *Sigh* I just hope that I can finish everything before next week. Fingers crossed.

My journey back to KK was ordinary as usual. I didn't get over excited like I used to be when I went back to KK for my first semester break which was years ago. This time around I didn't feel anything special yet the excitement of going back is still intact.

During my 1 hour and 25 minutes flight to KK, I had nothing to do than sleeping. I usually sleep but not for the whole journey. I only woke up when the flight attendant announced that the flight is going to land and I had to fasten my seatbelt. I was extremely tired because of the non-stop pre-holiday party back in Kuching.

Speaking of pre-holiday party, I had an enjoyable mini BBQ party at my friend's house. Yes, it was just a mini BBQ party attended by only 5 people. Yet, we had lots of fun making fool of each other, BBQ-ing, and drinking. In addition to that, I was invited to go the brother of a friend's house. It happened to be that they were having a birthday party on that day. So, all my guy friends were extremely giddy about it and went there slightly drunk prior to the mini party we had earlier on that day.

I didn't drink much on that day because of my sudden stomachache. *Shit* Therefore, officially, the post as a driver was proudly handed to me. So, the journey to the birthday party took us about 30-40 minutes. It was dark and I was not familiar with the routes. Luckily, we managed to arrived at the 'land of opportunity' safely.

The party was simple and everybody had much fun. It was actually not much different than our usual 'aramai ti'. I can see all the youngsters enjoying themselves that night. After the birthday party, the boys suddenly decided to go clubbing. So, as the only person (I guess) who was still have the sanity, I drove them to the club.

I had lots of fun and I wished that I could stay there a little bit longer but I have a flight to catch up. Maybe next time.

Now, I'm back to KK and looking forward for any party. Yeah!

I had an affair

Officially entered the “busy-season”, I am now abundantly blessed by all the assignments given by my lecturer. Almost every time of the day I couldn’t stop myself from thinking about it and it makes me feel restless and tense.

So, on one cloudy evening- about 6 something in the evening, a friend of mine called me and asked whether I’m free and can drive a car (duh! What a question..). In a split second, I thought of something that is fishy-yet-irresistible!

I told him that I was free at that time- in actual fact, I was about to get my butt on the chair and devote myself to my assignment. That didn’t happened. *Grinning* I just knew that we’re going to a place that is just perfect for the type of guy like us. *Grinning again*

To cut the story short, my friends and I went to a Chinese restaurant with our rented humble Kelisa to have dinner. While we’re having our dinner, it started to rain and the time far still early. Therefore, to kill the time, we went to the bowling centre and each one of us played a set of game. Btw, I won that night. Yay!

After that, we headed to see Miss Tipsy. The moment we entered the premise, people were already started to warm up with their glasses of “magic drink”. We took our seats and ordered drinks. An hour later, everybody in the house was in the mood to hit the dance floor. As soon as the DJ played the hit songs, all of us moved to the dance floor, started to loosen ourselves, and danced to the music! After few shots, my face started to feel numb and few moments later, the numbness spread to my arms. I knew Miss Tipsy’s flirting was working on me and I succumbed into it. Despite of feeling exhausted, I continued hitting the dance floor and had a great time with some of the people whom I just knew that night.

I didn’t realise the time and the moment I took a dizzy glimpse to my watch, it was already 3.30 am. I was too tired and needed a fresh air so I went out and sat on the staircase while waiting for my friends. I was having a temporary-deaf moment due to the loud music.

The next morning, I woke up with mild hangover and somehow felt guilty – for a while. For that particular moment, in all of a sudden, I kept on thinking about one that faithfully waited for me in my room – Miss Assignments. I felt sorry for her for having an affair with Miss Tipsy…

Thanks Miss Tipsy for your love that night….till we meet again…soon.

So damn pissed off...

Anger builds up inside of me like a volcano ready to explode The anger inside of me grows like cancer spreading fast and Destroying me But that anger has to come out some how Before it kills me and builds up inside of me There are times that is not good for me to show my anger to myself
And others because it is very destructive
Sometimes it is difficult for me to control my anger

*********************************

Don't wanna say much about my anger...I'm just pissed off and trying to get over it. Fuh!

WS Debate article three

Yeah!! Finally the trophy is returned to the college. Just now, my friends and I were extremely nervous while waiting for the result to be announced. I even couldn't sit properly and my palms were sweaty. It was like everything was set in a slow motion. The moment the emcee announced the 3rd and 2nd runner-up winners, I already started to feel agitated because I knew we're gonna get either the first or second place. Everybody was totally silent and waited patiently for the announcement to be made.

Everybody in the auditorium were only have to wait for the 1st runner-up winner to announced in order to know who's gonna be the champion. Therefore, the climax of the event was when the emcee announced the 1st runner-up winner which happened to be received by the Swinburne University of Technology. All of us were screaming joyfully and some even almost cried because...the only winner would definitely none other than our college! Yay!

Neil and I trying to be 'cool'

The moment before the result

The mock cheque...money...money...money!

I know...I know...it's not gonna be mine...fine!

The champion lads...congrats!

Monday Blues

What the heck? I woke up (reluctantly) today and realized that it is Monday. I was grumbling and groaning about Monday, unwilling to let go of the lovely, lazy Sunday. The first thing that I did was bitching about my damn alarm clock which I snoozed it for a couple of times. Then, in the darkness I struggled myself to look for my glasses. Shit! Damn my short-sightedness.

I thought to myself, why would people all over the globe would hate Monday? It is simple. Contemporary man is completely sold to the idea of the weekend and, therefore, horrified by the idea of working seven days a week. People drag themselves through workdays so they can relax in the evenings. They endure the week so they can have the weekend. Right?

Monday is really a mundane day for some of us. Monday means I had to tune myself from the slobbing-mode to studying-mode. That's the tricky part. *sigh*

We're good...no worries

Last night, I was out boozing with my two boozy friends at the clubs somewhere in town. Since I had to sacrifice my holidays for joining the debate, I thought it would be much better if I bring my guy-friends for a guys-only-outing. Firstly, we went to the first club and it was quite happening and almost everybody in the club was busy shaking their booty. Without wasting any time and since the 3 of us were determined to get ourselves intoxicated, we proudly walked into the club, took our seats and ordered the prerequisite stuff-the drinks! We were just about to warm ourselves up but the club seemed to call it a day. WTF! It was so damn early. We just got there and we didn't even have the chance to hit the dance floor!

So, after we finished our drinks, the 3 of us decided to go this particular club which happened to be not so far away from the first one that we went to. To our surprise, the club was better as compared to the previous one since it was more happening and yes...lots and lots of bootylicious chicks. The club was crowded and we can't find ourselves a place to sit and we had no choice than to stand close to the dance floor. It was not that bad actually since we were standing next to the hotspot and 1 of my boozy friends looked like a kid who is looking at pornography for the first time. Pun intended! Haha...

I guess it was not a perfect time for the 3 of us. We were just about to feel the fun and all of a sudden the DJ stopped the music and a bunch of people started to run away. Damn! I knew something gonna happen and I was right, the club was raided by the Customs. Honestly, I was quite nervous but I tried to look cool as possible. *Grinning* No worries! We didn't take any illegal stuff or whatsoever. We're clean and I'm 21-legal age. Besides, they were just Customs and they were just doing their job by checking all the liquors. So after showing our ID, we went out from the club and bounced to the crib. *Sigh*

We're cool....

No worries...we have our ID.

WS Debate article two

It was so close yet so far. That's how I describe today's debate. Our long and winding road towards the final of the debate competition was finally ended and left my team (UKM Team B) with bittersweet memories. Until this particular moment, I still couldn't accept the fact that we didn't make it to the final. Argh! Knowing that I'm not gonna represent the college again next year even broke my heart into pieces. I just hope that my team mates will not feel discouraged with this loss and continue striving and giving the very best next year. Frankly speaking, I feel quite guilty in a sense that I could've contributed a lot for my team in which I've failed. Sorry guys. Perhaps I had put up a high expectation for my team and failing to achieve what I would've expected. The feeling was too bad and at the same time I feel bad about myself. *Sigh* Nevertheless, I'm glad that my team managed to get through to the semi-final.

P/S: For both Tse Ming and Felicity, I congratulate and salute both of you for making it to the grand final. Hopefully, this year we will bring back the trophy to our college! All the best!

I am a Kadazan

"Tanak Dusun ka nga amu ih ma koilo do mimboros Dusun.
Tanak Dusun ka nga amu ih ma karati Dusun.
Tanak Dusun ka nga mibooros ih ma Malayu.
Tanak Dusun ka nga mimboros ih ma Nonggiris.
Osonong da do koilo ngai mimboros Dusun, Nonggiris, Malayu om suai ngai …

Nokuro gia molohing tokou tu amu minongubas dati mimboros Dusun di laid?
Nokuro gia molohing tokou tu minongubas dati Malayu kampung di laid?
Nokuro gia tu binarasan yati do ‘Saya saput kau!’ di laid?"

Quoted from J Martin's Blog

Translations for those who don't understand the above:

A Kadazandusun but couldn't speak their mother tongue.
A Kadazandusun but couldn't understand their mother tongue.
A Kadazandusun but prefers to speak Bahasa Melayu/Malay language.
A Kadazandusun but prefers to speak the English language.
Nevertheless, it is good if ones can speak Kadazandusun, English, Malay and other languages...

But why do our parents "drilled" us to speak Bahasa Melayu than our mother tongue?
But why do our parents "drilled" us to speak "Bahasa Melayu rojak (street language)" in the first place?
Why do we were told by our parents, "Saya saput kau!" when we were young.
* "Saya saput kau!" means "I'll smack/spank you!". Parents usually say this to their mischievous children.

***********************

Being raised in a modern-yet-conservative Kadazan family, I somehow felt backfired by the statement above. Why? As a Kadazan, I suppose to master my mother tongue which I obviously do not! But hey, at least I do understand most of the phrases in the Kadazandusun language. I know for a fact that some of the new generations are hardly able to speak nor understand the language. *Sigh*

Everytime I go back to kampung, I feel quite awkward communicating with the people there due to my limited vocabulary in the language. I know if I try to speak the language, I would sound very keras or very 'technical' if you know what I mean. I might also become the subject of laughter to some of them. Hence, all of a sudden, a bubbly person turned into a very timid boy. The worst thing is, people tend to perceive me as a snobbish person which I am not. Really.

My parents do speak Kadazan to me at home but not that much. Besides, living in a so-called 'melting pot' residential area where my neighbours are consisting of different ethnicities and even nationalities do not really help much. Only a handful of them that I know are Kadazans and I very seldom use my mother tongue to communicate with them. I usually use Bahasa Melayu and even English! Basically, I speak very little Kadazan as compared to my relatives and friends in kampung. Sometimes I feel envy to them because they Kadazan is like so sing-song. How I wish I could be like them.

The thing for sure, I am trying to improve my Kadazan. In baby steps of course!

Mind Your English

The sign above indeed hilarious and whether you realize it or not, this sign depicts the standard of the English language in our country. Sadly, there are so many signs/advertisements with broken English or Manglish everywhere in this land called Malaysia. Malaysia Boleh??

What have been done by all our English teachers so far? After looking at the sign, I remember the "Go straight. Don't belok-belok" advertisement on the telly. Haha...Fellow English teachers! Take immediate action and do something.

08-08-08…what a day!

On this day, EIGHT of us (Ambun, Nurul, Wawa, Crystal, Sze-Ern, Visha, Olivia, and I) were called up to the office for a something we did on the previous day. Actually, the thing that had happened was that our passes that we’d left at the guardhouse were collected by this stupid-moron after he saw us went out from the college at a wrong time. *Shit* Presumably, we were not supposed to go out during lecture time. In fact, we actually went out after the lecture time and our lecture happened to finish earlier on that day. To make the eight of us feel guilty, that supposed-to-be-unnamed person made a statement that we're not allowed to out after 1 pm! WTF! Consequently, we had to see this so-called disciplinary teacher at the office to get our passes back and the claiming process is not that easy whereby we had to undergo a session of questioning and had no choice than to listen to the mundane lecture. *Shit* Nevertheless, it didn’t really bother me actually. Like what other people say, let bygones be bygones.

After that fucking boring session at the office, my friend and I decided to go out for shopping to unwind ourselves. This time around, we left the college at the right time…hehe…

The name of the EIGHT unlucky people on the notice board!

The form that needed to be filled in.

At the end of the day, the eight of us laughed after reminiscing on what had happened...oh! What a day!

Lalalala....

I just got myself a brand new Jason Mraz's album. Yeah!

I like the song called I'm yours. It's so relaxing and you should listen to it. Perhaps I should put the song in my blog.

Here's the lyric for I'm yours...

Well you done done me and you bet I felt it
I tried to be chill but you're so hot that I melted
I fell right through the cracks
and now I'm trying to get back
Before the cool done run out
I'll be giving it my bestest
Nothing's going to stop me but divine intervention
I reckon it's again my turn to win some or learn some

I won't hesitate no more, no more
It cannot wait, I'm yours

Well open up your mind and see like me
Open up your plans and damn you're free
Look into your heart and you'll find love love love love
Listen to the music of the moment people dance and sing
We're just one big family
And It's our God-forsaken right to be loved love loved love loved

So I won't hesitate no more, no more
It cannot wait I'm sure
There's no need to complicate
Our time is short
This is our fate, I'm yours

Scooch closer dear
and i will nibble your ear

I've been spending way too long checking my tongue in the mirror
And bending over backwards just to try to see it clearer
My breath fogged up the glass
And so I drew a new face and laughed
I guess what i be saying is there ain't no better reason
To rid yourself of vanity and just go with the seasons
It's what we aim to do
Our name is our virtue

I won't hesitate no more, no more
It cannot wait I'm sure
There's no need to complicate
Our time is short
this is our fate, I'm yours

Well no no, well open up your mind and see like me
Open up your plans and damn you're free
Look into your heart and you'll find the sky is yours
Listen to the music of the moment come and dance with me
A lá one big family (2nd time: A lá happy family; 3rd time: A lá peaceful melody)
It's your God-forsaken right to be loved love love love

I won't hesitate no more, no more
It cannot wait, I'm sure
There's no need to complicate
Our time is short
This is our fate, I'm yours

No please, don't complicate
Our time is short
This is our fate, I'm yours

No please, don't hesitate
no more, no more
It cannot wait
The sky is your's!

Excuse me!

I'm really pissed off right now! Fuck!

Living in this hostel requires LOTS of patience and tolerance. It's undeniably a fact and I knew about it but everybody has their own LIMITATIONS. I mean, some of the stupid morons in the hostel where I'm staying just too dumb to know about it. Shit!

Actually, I've been bitching around about this thing for quite some time. My room-mate seems to be very 'famous' in a sense that he has too many friends who always come to our room everyday regardless of the time. I have no problem with that and definitely not jealous of him but at least respect the other occupant in the room - ME!

To those damn sons-of-a-bitch! Please take note!!

Before entering the room:
1. Please knock the door.
*And please...knock the door properly. You don't want to smashed the door OR else I will smash your face!*
2. Please take off your shoes and slippers.
*Hello....we're Asians. You definitely do not want me to ask you clean the floor by licking it!*

While in the room:
1. Please control your voice.
*I simply hate people who unreasonably shout like a hysterical person. You don't want to see me go hysterically mad!*
3. Please do not disturb other people's belonging.
*Did I ever touched your stuff?*
4. Do not put your feet on my bed!
*My bed is meant for me to sleep on. So, don't make me use my leg to kick your damn ass.*
5. Please take note of the TIME!
*I'm a human and need my sleep you ass-hole! Please don't make me put you to sleep (kill you)!*

I might sound too harsh but I think some people ought to learn more about the word R.E.S.P.E.C.T

Those people might say anything bad about me after this but I don't give it a damn. Go on! The thing is, if you want other people to respect you then you should respect them in the first place.

Shop till you drop?

At this particular moment, I'm wondering whether I should perceive myself as a compulsive shopper or in other words shopaholic! The thing for sure, I'm really unsure and I'm trying my very best to not giving a damn about it. *sigh*

Being away from my family indeed gives me a hard time to manage my money which is crucial for everyone who holds the status as student and not yet employed. As for me, earning the should-be-enough allowance doesn't guarantee me a steady "income". Besides, the money will only be banked in once in every 3 months which makes it difficult for me and my acquaintances in the college to really allocate the money for our 3-month spending due to our nature of overspending. I bet this happens to almost everybody... admit it people!

Ironically, one of our lecturers gave us an interesting-yet-sarcastic talk about effective budgeting in our previous tutorial session. Shopping list....prioritise...compare the prices...bla bla bla...

Undeniably, good and effective budgeting would be the answer to overspending and eventually leads to being shopaholic but the thing is, we tend to be succumbed by the temptations especially during sale-season. Am I right?

My parents always say that I tend to spend beyond my means and I knew it, but why on earth, almost all the stuff that I wanted to have tend to be so expensive and sometimes it could be extremely expensive? Shit! I'm sure you know how it feels when you could not get or should I say could not afford the things that you desire so much.

Just like I mentioned earlier, I try not to perceive myself as a shopaholic and I definitely think I'm not that kind of person simply because I don't really have a so-called 'shopping therapy' to unwind myself or to relief the tense. I'm just a God's creation who tend to be succumbed by temptations (cewah!!).

*Yawning* Ok lah, it's time to sleep. Let's just stop bitching about this matter...

*Ops! I almost forget to iron my Pierre Cardin shirt and Versace pants*
:-p

It has finally arrived...

Entering the 3rd week of this new semester has no longer been a "honey-moon" for me and my acquaintances in Cohort 4. We are now officially entering the 'busy-season' whereby everybody will be busy completing their assignments and pimples will eventually pop out on everyone's face.

For sure, there will be lots of ass-ignments to be given out by the lecturers and SOON everybody's afternoon, evening, night and even dawn (for others) will be 'abundantly blessed' by it.

Yes. It has finally arrived and it has indeed arrived with pride.

Soon, this mini volcano will appear and waiting to erupt...Euww

And soon, the population of 'panda' will alarmingly increase...so, who says panda is a dangered species? :-)
