At this particular moment, I'm wondering whether I should perceive myself as a compulsive shopper or in other words shopaholic! The thing for sure, I'm really unsure and I'm trying my very best to not giving a damn about it. *sigh*
Being away from my family indeed gives me a hard time to manage my money which is crucial for everyone who holds the status as student and not yet employed. As for me, earning the should-be-enough allowance doesn't guarantee me a steady "income". Besides, the money will only be banked in once in every 3 months which makes it difficult for me and my acquaintances in the college to really allocate the money for our 3-month spending due to our nature of overspending. I bet this happens to almost everybody... admit it people!
Ironically, one of our lecturers gave us an interesting-yet-sarcastic talk about effective budgeting in our previous tutorial session. Shopping list....prioritise...compare the prices...bla bla bla...
Undeniably, good and effective budgeting would be the answer to overspending and eventually leads to being shopaholic but the thing is, we tend to be succumbed by the temptations especially during sale-season. Am I right?
My parents always say that I tend to spend beyond my means and I knew it, but why on earth, almost all the stuff that I wanted to have tend to be so expensive and sometimes it could be extremely expensive? Shit! I'm sure you know how it feels when you could not get or should I say could not afford the things that you desire so much.
Just like I mentioned earlier, I try not to perceive myself as a shopaholic and I definitely think I'm not that kind of person simply because I don't really have a so-called 'shopping therapy' to unwind myself or to relief the tense. I'm just a God's creation who tend to be succumbed by temptations (cewah!!).
*Yawning* Ok lah, it's time to sleep. Let's just stop bitching about this matter...
*Ops! I almost forget to iron my Pierre Cardin shirt and Versace pants*
:-p
