House in order...


I'm now part of the college's debating team. Thanks to Madam Angie's totally unexpected phone call (sarcastic).

2 days ago, I decided to do housekeeping job in my room because the dust was all over the room. Table. Cabinet. Bed. Locker....if mom saw it, she would definitely nag all night long. Luckily she was not there.

I can be a very fussy room-mate and I can bitch about almost everything in the room. Kesian my room-mate.

Anyway, back to the story. As I was busy sweeping the floor, suddenly my phone rang.

**Mdm. Angie's calling...**

I picked up the phone.

Mdm Angie: Steve!! Come here now!!
Me: Ha!! Come? Where?
Mdm Angie: A14
Me: A14? What for?
Mdm Angie: .....practice la!
Me: What practice?
Mdm Angie: Debate practice!!!
Me: What? Why me??
Mdm Angie: Just come. NOW!!
Me: Err....ok...ok

So, I rushed to A14 and...guess what...I'm in the debate team in just a blink of an eye! WTF!!

*sigh*

Today, we had a mock debate and the motion was...

This house believes that economic growth is the answer to climate change.

I was in the Closing Government team together with my intelligent and outspoken partner - Nadiah. The funny thing was, we couldn't come out with a very strong extension.

Therefore, our points were "fragile" and as a newcomer I had to rebut the opposition's points very "amateur-ly". Totally unprofessional.

So, I ended my speech without knowing whether I managed to deliver my points well or not. Shy only.

With that I rest my case......
